The importance of good documentation within technical projects cannot be overstated. When analytical sessions, technology assessments, and software designs are supported with clear documentation, the benefits can accrue to organizations for many years. Without clear documentation, employees waste time searching for answers, subject matter experts are taken off-task to educate others, and it is possible for knowledge to leave the company when the employer experiences turnover or when contract workers are released. This is not a risk with Emanation Systems, where the lasting quality of finished projects is due in part to the following ways in which results are communicated to clients:

Business and systems analysis projects result in detailed documentation - presented in text and graphics - illustrating the important findings and requirements that were drawn out in the analytical sessions.
Software development projects result in clear and concise end-user documentation in any format desired (online, paper-based, PDF, help file, etc.), design documents with UML use case, class, and sequence diagrams, and - of course - well-commented source code.

User guides and training material can be written using Adobe FrameMaker for professional publishing, or Microsoft Word (and published to PDF) for reference by employees using MS Office and Acrobat Reader.
Project Websites can be constructed to archive all project documentation - complete with an index containing links to each document - and this site can be archived on the LAN or CD-ROM for post-project reference.
